BIENVENUE - WELCOME! - INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 16 OF 20 ARTISTS! - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN

JOS PETERS - Archetypes and divine mysteries - and an inspired art smith;

A technically skilled craftsman - and performance artist - dipping into a well of archetypes; Combine it with deep emotions...and divine inspiration - and you have Hephaistos, smith and the only Olympic god who works with his hands; or an alchymist - or Jos.

ANNE HESVIK KARTVEIT - The Golden Lining....

"My work is built upon the old and classical traditions of painting, inspired by the old European and Norwegian Masters. I work as a colourist where the colours are the musical notes, the ornamentation the silent speaker and the love for traditions are the bearing components of my artistic expression."

INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 14 - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN

TINOU WIARD - Visions in the Night

Images often sail through my mind during the night. Waking up, I pick them up with their aura of mystery.

Then, my work begins... Lightness, density, colour, material, how to translate and give birth through my fingers to the emotions aroused by these "night visions"?

My work is like the hull of a ship or the shell of a snail, focusing attention inward to a personal world but certainly accessible to all.

ROMEO SR. VANGOETHEMD - Metal suspended...

'Adelaar'

Metal in all shapes and forms comes to life in new and surprising combinations;
A bird takes flight, a horse is jumping, a bull is grazing peacefully - heavy metal somehow seems to be defying gravity.
Mijn grondmateriaal is ijzer of andere metalen.

INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 12 - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN

WILL SCHROPP - The Beauty Within the Wood

'Life' and 'The Dream of Flying' are constant themes in Will's beautiful wood work. And when he speaks of his process, he doesn't only refer to beauty of form and material, colour and veins, he also speaks of its emotional value.
In 2008 wood which was 8800 years old(!) was found in a field in Drenthe in The Netherlands. Will is one of several artists creating sculptures from this special wood, documented in a televison series by Teleac TV.
As a special 'signature' Will has for more than twenty years included a sculpted jacket in his exhibitions - (home is where his jacket hangs:)

INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 11 - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN

TIM ROOSEN - Metal wonders

The work of this artist bridges the ancient crafts such as blacksmiths and bronze casting, and the world of modern art. Often, an ornate, plant metal sculpture combined with an almost industrial framework. Materials such as wrought iron and bronze are easily combined with stainless steel and Cor-Ten steel.

INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 10 - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN

LUK LUTS - Sculptor of Stone

trotseren
  - Het genieten van en bewondering hebben voor,

Is eigenlijk met geen pen te beschrijven…
Laat het me wat eenvoudiger uitdrukken:

               Je beeld zit al eeuwen in de steen;
Enkel wat er “teveel” aan zit,
                                          Moet je “even“ wegkappen…

INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 8 - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN

LAURA FRENNET - Painter
Through her paintings, Laura Frennet seeks to represent the Human interconnection with Nature - through perpetual exchanges of Energy;

Persons and trees take root in the depths of the earth and rise towards the sky, for all eternity.
“What 'haunts' me is the space which I consider filled with Energy, which I try to give life through forms and light.
During its realization, my painting begins to live on its own creative outburst and gives off sonorities through vital rhythms.
A deep relation evolves between the painting and myself.
And in completion, through a sense of grace, the painting invites the viewer to enter and share in this experience.”
The paintings of Laura Frennet represent the Human in connection with Nature through perpetual exchanges of Energy:
Persons and trees take root in the depths of the earth and rise towards the sky, for all eternity.
"During its realization.......confidence"

d’aujourd’hui.

The Art of Moving Slowly......:)

INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 5 - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN:

ANN SCHMITZ - Painter and photographer

Book: 'Transparency'

"Small glimpses of condensed reality, reflecting the mechanism of the cosmos that runs in some way like a clockwork, cycles inside cycles.

At the same time her visual world reminds me of the way the world is perceived when you are in deep sorrow or in deep prayer or worship.
A sense of heightened awareness and a supernatural attention to details." (Nicky Bendix)

(B. Baudoin)

INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 4 - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN:

INGRID SILIAKUS - Paper Architect

'Key'

The way Ingrid’s artwork is created is expressed remarkably by her spatial thinking capabilities. Only a few are as gifted as she is. The artist, living in Amsterdam, is an autodidact. By means of self study she became crafted in paper-architecture. This art form has its roots in Japan (developed by professor Masahiro Chatani).

Paper-architecture is best described as the art to form objects out of one single sheet of paper. By securely cutting and folding three dimensional forms are shaped. The basis of this cutting and folding is the design. This process can take weeks and even months of precise drawing and calculations even at a hundreds of a millimetre. The objects are designed layer by layer. A typical characteristic of Ingrid’s work is the complexity and high level of detail. Her designs are architectural as well figurative as abstract. It is not a surprise her artwork is internationally acknowledged.

INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 3 - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN:

BRIGITTE DANSE - Sculptor
Enthusiastic and enterprising, Brigitte Dance spends most of her artistic energy on sculpture.

She has participated in numerous symposia for monumental stone sculptures abroad (Lithuania, Austria, USA, ...)
Her interest in research has led her to not be locked into a single technique: In addition to stone, she also works in metal and earth, snow, ...
When working in metal, Brigitte favors the figurative expression, even very 'clean'/'pure'.
When working in stone, her motifs which are more abstract, but we can all feel the movement of sun and clouds – and then the water - that, through time, is patiently writing within the depths, the history of this stone.

INTRODUCING ARTISTS (randomly) 2 - MAKING AN ENCHANTED GARDEN:

GISÈLE DEROP - Sculptor and poet
