S’il est une promenade qui ne se refuse pas, celle celle du
Jardin enchanté Tone Aanderaa. Trente-trois artistes y
exposent durant un mois.
Cet été, s’il y a une promenade artistique et verte, ménagée
de coins d’ombre, de sous-bois et de bancs, qui vaut vraiment
le déplacement, c’est celle qui mène chez l’artiste
norvégienne Tone Aanderaa. Nous sommes à Sainte-Marie-
Geest, à l’arrière de l’ancienne gare Station 14, dans son
longiligne jardin. Elle et son mari Ignace Clarysse ont réussi
l’an dernier le pari un peu fou de transformer ce qui était une
demi-brousse en véritable petit paradis vert. Seconde étape,
des sculptures, durant un mois, avaient habité les lieux.
«Pour la première édition de Art Sanctuary en 2011,
explique Tone Aanderaa, il fallait compter une grosse heure pour boucler la promenade au milieu des oeuvres de
mes amis et amies sculpteurs. Cette année, il faut compter une demi-heure de plus, car j’ai décidé d’accueillir 33
artistes chez moi.»
Trente-trois! Autant dire qu’il faut être difficile pour ne pas trouver son bonheur. Ces artistes ont une source
d’inspiration commune : la nature. Sculptures en bois, pierre bleue, bois, métal, céramique ou matériaux
composites se multiplient tout au long de la balade. Un labyrinthe serpentant autour d’une pièce d’eau a été
aménagé sur le haut du jardin. Une toile d’araignée artistique de cinq ou six mètres semble même y donner accès.
Tout cela est d’un goût et d’une simplicité qui laissent pantois. «Le plus étonnant, confiait la conteuse Christiane
De Coster, présente à l’inauguration de vendredi dernier, c’est qu’en allant de surprise en surprise tout au long de
la promenade, on est envahi par une sorte de tranquillité intérieure.» Les artistes, eux, étaient aux anges. Comme
le «local» Jean-Michel Uyttersprot, qui a sorti son appareil photo. «En fin de journée, souriait-il, la lumière est si
belle et les oeuvres exposées si marquantes que l’on veut en garder quelque chose.»
