The Tree
- Symbol of Life -
Laura is one off the first artists I encountered in Belgium - and she has since become a dear friend.
In 2009 I invited her as one of my special guest artists in two exhibitions in Norway; at Hardanger Folkemuseum and at Hardanger Kulturgalleri
Laura took the opportunity and came to visit and travel throughout a Norwegian landscape she had long felt an affinity with - a real 'pilgrimage'; Understandably so, when you see her long-lasting love for the forests and trees!

peintures représentent l’ARBRE comme symbole du Vivant.
Chaque
arbre étant le témoin d’un lieu et d’une histoire, il est capable par son
langage de communiquer avec l’Homme et la Nature entière.
De
là, le fil conducteur de ma pensée vise l’authenticité, la force et la
puissance et peut être relié à une seule phrase :
« N’oublie
jamais l’arbre que tu es, garde toujours le contact avec tes racines et laisse
monter en toi leur Energie pour t’élever vers le ciel ».
