Thank you for this very special season in 'The Enchanted Garden'!

The 'Enchanted Garden' has closed its gates, and Autumn is arriving ...

It has been a most special season; sometimes Life and Art come together and make it extra Special...
The sadness of Dear ones passing...and also Moments of Joy and Celebration...
All may come together in three short months, as it did this year in 'The Enchanted Garden'.

We thank all the artists and visitors for a Most Special 'Enchanted Garden' 2019!

C’est magique
Bercée par la musique

Elle s’imprègne de beauté
Où des êtres sculptés
Rappellent son enfance
Sans turbulence
Où les rêves sans ailes
Ne se sont pas envolés
Sa liberté étouffée

Mais ils sont toujours là
Plus tournés vers les arts

Au détour d’un chemin
Dans un recoin
Une surprise
De son Enfant Intérieur
Une surprise
D’Elle sans zèle

Art Sanctuary is a result – and a happy consequence – of the encounter and meeting between Norwegian artist Tone Aanderaa, www.tone-aanderaa.com www.toneaanderaa.blogspot.com and Ignace Clarysse, Belgian, IT expert, project manager and content-builder www.ignace-clarysse.com/

In 2009 Art Sanctuary arranged 'The Belgian-Norwegian Collaboration'; 12 artists from Norway, The Netherlands, and Belgium, meeting in 2 large exhibitions at HARDANGER FOLKEMUSEUM and HARDANGER KULTURGALLERI

In 2010 Art Sanctuary published two collections of poems by Tone Aanderaa;
'PUST; Fugler Puster Annerledes' ('BREATH; Birds Breathe Differently') and 'Poe-etiske voggesanger – epistler fra et mørkt fastland' ('Poe-Ethical Lullabies – Epistles From a Dark Mainland'

In 2010 Art Sanctuary also hosted The Encounter between Tone Aanderaa and musician Nicky Bendix http://www.nickybendix.com/; a collaboration with paintings/art and music evolving together.

- And in 2011 Art Sanctuary's 'Enchanted Garden' OFFICIALLY OPENED;
20 artists from Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Norway and Denmark, exhibiting in a large and beautiful garden, and inside the old train station house of Station 14, Ste-Marie-Geest, Jodoigne, Belgium.

In 2012 Art Sanctuary again opened its gates (June 29 - August 5): 'The Enchanted Garden' had a Theme: 'Dance' -

33 specially invited international artists

+ performances and concerts

The garden also had a special added feature this year: A new large Labyrinth, with art works exhibited in unexpected ways:)

In 2013 Art Sanctuary again opened its gates (June 28 - August 4): 'The Enchanted Garden' theme was 'C'est le rêve' ('It is That Dream'.

21 specially invited international artists and concert by Nicky Bendix.

The book 'Art Sanctuary - The Enchanted Garden - SEASONS' was published, as well as 'Liminal Dream - A Painted Vision', a book of paintings by Tone Aanderaa.

In 2014 the theme of 'The Enchanted Garden' was 'Myths and Legends, Stories and Tales' ; To experience some of the Magic, see Video and page back in the blog archive!

'The Enchanted Garden' evolved into an annual International Art Exhibition - in a large and natural beautiful garden; including a forest, brooks and ponds, a wishing-well, a labyrinth, and much more - filled with wildlife and beautiful art. In 2023 Art Sanctuary celebrates The Enchanted Garden's Tenth Edition!
