To celebrate the Grand Opening of the Art Sanctuary (see the previous story) Raspirit Heron and WieBenIk Beaumont announced a Poem and Story Contest, organized together with Enniv Zarf of Krystal Epic.
The Art Sanctuary (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Art%20Sanctuary/179/89/22) is a 'fairy-tale-kind-of-place'. It is made of dreams and secret longings, love. It features happy encounters with magic and wonderment. It's a painter's dream and a poetic sanctuary. The Art Sanctuary as the muse of poets and story tellers, this is the theme of the contest.
The Krystal Epic Shopping centre (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Seranil/95/168/21) features a brand new line of Krystal Spheres. Taking advantage of the power of Second Life, these unique spheres create each a “Total Environmental Experience". They are individually themed with matching furniture.
And there are nice prizes to win!
The Best poem and short story receive each 1500 L. Krystal Epic adds also a discount of 50% on all products bought at the Krystal Epic Shopping Centre. For the king and the queen in the dream, the Art Sanctuary gives the king-size, romantic Dreamers bed. It is based on the "Dreamers" painting made by Raspirit Heron.The runner up Poem and Story receives each 500 L.
It’s a very easy and simple contest, no difficult rules. Let the emotions, the feelings, or perhaps a romantic encounter inspire you. Write a short or a longer poem or story, send your creation to Raspirit Heron by mail (RaspiritHeron@hotmail.com) or use an in-world notecard.
All the creations are published on the Art Sanctuary (http://art-sanctuary.blogspot.com/) and the Krystal Epic website (http://story.krystalepic.com/). We ask to submit before Thursday 20/Sep/2007 (CET).
All authors select a spot to place their poem at the Art Sanctuary. Raspirit Heron and WieBenIk Beaumont will create a poster giving a notecard with your poem to the visitor. Touch the poster and the poem will be read. The authors are also invited to use voice chat to read their poem during the prize giving event.
All Sl-Newspaper readers are invited to vote ..
The Art Sanctuary invites all SL-Newspaper readers to vote for the best poem or story. An overview of the poems can be found at the contest website (http://ke-asPoetryAndShortStoryCompet.blogspot.com/).
To vote you send a mail or a notecard to Raspirit Heron and mention the winners (the name of the poem and the author). Your vote is as important as each jury vote, you’re the jury!
The votes have to be received before Saturday 25/Sep/2007 (CET).
Prize giving event on Saturday 22/Sep/2007 with a lunch concert
The agenda of the event includes:
11:30 AM SL - 20:30 CET: Poem and story prize giving at the Art Sanctuary;
Enniv Zarf plays "Poetic Noise", inspired by the submitted poems and stories
Omayd Gontyuk shows his brand new animated robot;
All poems are presented at the Art Sanctuary and read using chat or voice;
The event will be closed by a party on the spinning Zodiac.
The Art Sanctuary is still preparing other live performances during the event.

- The Angel Dorei Museum is situated at a beautiful Japanese Asian themed Romantic Sim,
which also includes a Dragon Temple.
An exhibition of Raspirit Heron's poems and paintings are now on display at the museum.

- Muse Isle is a real 'hot spot' in SL; it's a fantastic place to experience live music concerts,
it is also 'home' of the famous 'Rendevouz Friends and Couple' animation.
A large collection of Raspirit Heron's paintings are on permanent display in the Gallery and throughout the isle.
